Caroline Graham School of Dance is a well established dance school that offers preschool classes, school age and adult classes.

The preschool classes follow and compliment the Early Years Foundation Stage; building confidence, coordination and balance whilst having fun and making lots of new friends.

School age classes build on this, with the option to take ISTD exams and to perform in a large professional theatre.

Mathern Men’s choir has been singing in the village hall for many years. We meet on Monday nights 8pm until 9.30pm.

New members are welcome to try out the choir to see if they enjoy it. It’s a very friendly set up - so come along and see for yourself.

Meeting on a Tuesday and Wednesday night in the main hall room from 7pm. New members always welcome.

Meeting 3 sessions a week, Noreen Wall is a qualified Line Dance Instructor & Western Line Dance Instructor with the IDTA. Great for all ages to keep fit and making new friends

Our weekly story-inspired sessions are carefully crafted to bring themes and ideas to life whilst developing important early skills.

Every class includes a mix of storytelling, music making, movement and sensory/ messy play as well as lots of opportunities to exercise those crucial social skills.  

Classes are run by Lindsay Churchill, a qualified and experienced primary school teacher and musician.
Jibber Jabber also offer birthday parties and nursery / school sessions.

Mathern Community  Council is the grassroots voice of local government for Mathern, Mounton and Pwllmeyric and comprises seven local Councillors. Meetings are normally held on the second Monday of each month in the small meeting room at Mathern Village Hall.

Mathern, Mounton and Pwllmeyric “Villages in Bloom” is a voluntary charitable not-for-profit organisation that manage, maintain and look after the generals and public spaces within the 3 villages

The Charity objective is to apply the Charity’s income in promoting education (including social and physical training) for persons aged between 2 and 25 years of age, who have been residents of Mathern Community for a period of 2 years.
Grants are made to help purchase books, school uniform, musical instruments, field trips, sports equipment etc or contribute to the cost of special courses, training and educational visits.

Local event venue can be booked for one off party’s or regular events. Large outdoor area and plenty of recreational space.
